Unreal Tournament 2004 PC Game Overview
A multiplayer first-person shooter, Unreal Tournament 2004 blends state-of-the-art technology with the thrill of gladiatorial warfare. Even the most ardent gamer will find 10 game modes—both team-based and “every man for himself”—that offer palm-sweating challenges through incredibly detailed indoor arenas and expansive outdoor settings. Players will take control of their destiny as the ultimate technological gladiator of the future, engaging in online combat with up to 32 other players in frantic, frag-filled arenas.
Assault Mode
- The return of assault mode! This beloved game, redesigned for UT2004, pits teams against one other to defend and attack fortified bases, ranging from swift trains speeding across a parched alien desert to a Skaarj mother ship ready to strike the human home world.
Onslaught Mode
- The Onslaught mode elevates team combat to a new level. In order to attack and destroy the enemy power core, opposing teams are matched against one another to acquire and control vital areas. This is where vehicle combat really shines, taking place in expansive outdoor settings. Combatants are transported to the front lines by flying and driving machines, while massive mobile battle stations provide a platform from which to unleash devastating strikes.
Vehicles
- In Assault and Onslaught, a variety of ground, air, and space-based vehicles are essential to a successful combat strategy. Get ready to ride in them. While looking for a mechanical tool of destruction, Unreal Tournament 2004 offers players a wide variety of options, from one-man combatants to five-man behemoths.
Levels
- There will be over 95 levels available right away, including over 45 brand-new maps for all of the game’s current play types in addition to new ones. Huge open spaces, deep space battle zones, and crammed inside techno-arenas await the newest competitors in the Tournament.
Weapons
- All of the frag-dealing arsenal from Unreal Tournament 2003 is back, ready for the seasoned player to expertly use against the fresh challengers. Along with those weapons, there are three more deadly tools: the Mine Layer, which shoots out spider-like bombs to hunt down and harass any enemy in its path; the Anti Vehicle Rocket Launcher, or AVRiL, which fires a payload of massive rockets calibrated to find and destroy enemy mechanised units; the Grenade Launcher, which fires timed explosives that stick to enemies and bounce on the ground until they are set off by the weapon’s altfire command; and the infamous Sniper Rifle from the first Unreal Tournament, completely revamped to make heads turn.
