Sci-fi meets fantasy on Tempest Citadel, a base-building game played on a planet ruled by storms. Take on the role of a mysterious Terran captain, whose past and destiny are up to you, as he sets out on a quest to investigate a dangerous planet that holds amazing and terrifying power.
However, you are not the initial arrival.
Hungry for the blood of the helpless and foolish, armies of vicious adversaries lurk beneath the skies. Different factions have seized the ancient sites that contain the technological marvels you seek, ranging from cyborg dark-mages to gene-spliced psychics.
Can you develop, expand, and take enough chances to withstand your adversaries? Will you refuse to have pity on those who would have none for you? Are you ready to battle for dominance over this world and uncover the mysteries of the long-gone, dead race that had dominated it?
Your goal was false. This realization dawns upon you in your initial seconds of awakening from cryostasis, and you discover that you are in an unknown region of the universe. There’s only one thing that’s certain: whoever sent you knew exactly what they were doing.
Below you, a planet slumbers, enslaved by the globe-spanning tempest that governs its exterior. Beneath those angry clouds lies what you really want—your real mission, your only path home. And ultimate power always comes at the highest cost.
In Tempest Citadel, you take control of 100 distinct crew members—soldiers, scavengers, workers, researchers, and medical experts—while constructing a city in the sky, module by module. You choose their equipment, training, and role.
Investigate a Tech Tree containing more than 200 research items, and give your team Psionic, Aug, and Perk powers to improve them. Collect resources and assemble team and base gear.
The exploration of the surface is the main objective. To choose the best squad for the terrain, weather, and enemy forces, you first scan the area and select locations to send expeditions to. You do this by using any intelligence you can gather. The conflict commences instantly moment your squad lands, so preparation is essential.
