An Adventure in Insurance with Very Little Color
With more than 200 tons of trade goods, the merchant ship Obra Dinn sailed for the Orient in 1802. It was built in London. It was deemed lost at sea six months later after failing to arrive at its rendezvous location at the Cape of Good Hope.
On October 14, 1807, early in the morning, the Obra Dinn sailed into port at Falmouth with its sails ruined and its crew nowhere to be seen. As the East India Company’s London Office insurance investigator, send someone right away to Falmouth, figure out how to board the ship, and get an estimate of damages ready.
A first-person mystery adventure, Return of the Obra Dinn relies on investigation and reasoning.
