R-Type Dimensions EX PC Game Overview
Steam is home to the coin-op classics R-Type and R-Type II! Battle through all 14 of the Bydo-infested stages in either flashy 3D or classic 2D visuals, switching between them “on-the-fly” with a single button press. The classic R-Type audio tracks have been completely rearranged to go along with the new 3D visuals! While the new Infinite game mode allows for uninterrupted progression from the game’s beginning to the final boss, the old game play is unaltered. This time, the Bydo won’t elude you! You can play both game modes locally with other players or alone. Gather your courage, defend the planet, and overthrow the evil Bydo Empire!
Two Full Games: All six original R-Type II levels in addition to the eight original R-Type levels. The traditional gameplay remains unaltered and equally demanding as the initial coin-op iterations.
High-Def 3D Visuals & Completely Reworked Music! Select from shimmering 3D visuals with stylish, reimagined music and sound effects, or classic, retro 2D graphics with music. During play, you can quickly flip between the graphic and audio modes by pressing a button!
With a limitless number of ships, you can finally conquer the Bydos in the new infinite mode! You can practise and play the desired levels with stage pick.
Traditional Mode: Play the iconic R-Type and R-Type II game exactly how it was intended to be played!
Collaborative Mode: Take tackle the Bydos by yourself or with a friend. You can use it for competitive play or for friendly, collision-free gaming!
