In NieR: Automata, the androids 2B, 9S, and A2 fight to retake the machine-driven dystopia that has been taken over by very strong machines.
Mechanical beings from another planet have pushed humanity from the planet. The human resistance deploys a squad of android troops to destroy the invaders in a last-ditch attempt to retake the planet. A conflict between robots and androids is now raging. A war that may soon reveal a truth about the world that has long been forgotten.

In addition to combining light and heavy blows, players can move quickly between a variety of weapons and dodge opponents in a stylish and swift manner.
- Beautifully Desolate Open-World: The game effortlessly connects hauntingly gorgeous locales and panoramas without requiring any region loading. In addition to the main plot, the settings are drawn at 60 frames per second and include a multitude of side events.
- Characters and Story Expertly Crafted – The narrative of NieR: Automata centres on the fierce struggle of androids 2B, 9S, and A2 to retake a dystopian society driven by machines that has been overtaken by formidable weaponry known as machine lifeforms.
- Features of an RPG: Players can modify their loadout to suit their playstyle, learn new combat skills, level up in battle, and acquire a variety of weapon kinds.
- Use the Pod Support System to Help Both Inside and Outside of Combat: Pods can engage in manual and lock-on enemy attacks. They can also help the player in non-combat situations, such letting them fly. Throughout the game, pods can be upgraded with additional attack techniques and varieties.
