A mysterious new foe has surfaced, two years after Commander Shepard drove out invading Reapers determined to wipe off organic life. Whole human settlements are being secretly abducted by something out on the edge of known space. To defeat the most horrific threat humanity has ever encountered, Shepard must now collaborate with Cerberus, a vicious organization dedicated to ensuring human existence at all costs.
Shepard must lead the most potent ship ever constructed and recruit the galaxy’s most elite team in order to even attempt this dangerous mission. They claim it would be suicide even in that case. Commander Shepard is determined to disprove their claims.
As in the last game, your interactions with the other characters have a significant impact. The discussion system has, thankfully, been enhanced. In order to create a dramatic, cinematic atmosphere, the camera now moves about the people as they converse. Additionally, Shepard has the ability to cut off conversations at any time with the right cue, changing the course of events in ways that could either support or undermine the mission.
