L.A. Noire is a violent criminal thriller that combines amazing action with real detective work to create an unparalleled interactive experience. It does this by using cutting-edge computer animation technology called MotionScan, which records every element of an actor’s face performance in astounding detail. In a city where everyone has something to conceal, you will have to work hard to uncover the truth as you look for clues, track down suspects, and question witnesses.
During the Hollywood Golden Age following World War II, Cole Phelps, an LAPD investigator, finds himself thrust into a city that is overwhelmed by its own prosperity. The drug trade is booming, corruption is pervasive, and the murder rate is at an all-time high. Phelps must investigate the truth behind a series of arson attacks, racketeering plots, and violent murders in order to advance in his career and uphold moral principles. He will have to face off against the L.A. underworld and even members of his own department in order to unearth a secret that has the potential to rock the city to its foundation.
