Humanity is at peril when the Gates of Hell open! No, it has nothing to do with a game where the word “MOOD” is typed backwards—how dare you even entertain that notion! This game isn’t your typical first-person shooter; it features terrifying demons, strong weapons, bloodsplatter, and more. Let’s restart that in a moment.
Immortality has been bestowed upon you! What’s left of you, that is. After the monsters devoured you, not much of you was still there. Killing some demons—actually, a lot of demons—will be necessary if you want your body back. It’s possible that we’re discussing demonocide here. To be honest, we anticipate furious correspondence from demon advocacy groups demanding an explanation for our decision to allow the killing of several demons in this game without any ethical hesitation. But I take it you’re game for that?
A fast-paced bullet-storm dungeon crawler that puts you right in the midst of everything, Hellmut: The Badass from Hell turns the absurdity up to eleven. Every time you finish the game, you can unlock new Transformations that you can control. Take on randomly generated bosses around the randomly created environment, vanquish demonic hordes, find priceless riches and soulstones, arm yourself with formidable weaponry, and utilize all of your abilities to preserve humanity! Save yourself, if nothing else, since it feels at least as good as saving humanity.
You get new methods to destroy even greater hordes of demons with each Transformation! Command rats as the Rat King, transform into the Orc Fairy and use her powerful spells—well, as powerful as an Orc Fairy can cast, anyway—dip opponents in the dubious slimeball substance, or take on a plethora of other absurd monsters that the marketing department was too lazy to list in this synopsis.
