The action role-playing game Dark Souls was created by FromSoftware, the same company that brought you Demon’s Souls. There will be lots of recognisable elements in Dark Souls: Tense dungeon crawling, terrifying monster encounters, a dark fantasy environment, and distinctive online interactions.
Dark Souls is not a sequel, but rather a spiritual continuation of Demon’s. Get ready for a brand-new, depressing planet with vertically oriented terrain and a huge, uncharted horizon. In addition to being ready for a brand-new, enigmatic tale set in the Lodran universe, get ready to perish. Numerous deadly traps, innumerable eerie hordes, and numerous enormous, incredibly strong demons and dragon bosses await you.
To survive in this harsh world, you have to learn from death. You’re not alone, either. In Dark Souls, you can learn from other players’ deaths and they can learn from yours by having other players’ souls appear in your realm. To engage in PVP combat, you can also call other players into your world for cooperative adventures or invade their worlds.
Bonfires are a new feature in Dark Souls that act as checkpoints while you battle your way through this grand adventure. All mobs respawn while you’re sleeping at bonfires, and you regain some magic and health at a cost. There isn’t a completely safe area in Dark Souls, so beware. Dark Souls is going to be the most extremely difficult game you play all year, with days of gameplay and an even more severe difficulty setting. Is it possible to endure a million deaths and still leave a legacy?
